ERAS Timeline for Osteopathic Medical Schools

Note:

  • If timeline dates fall on a federal holiday, the activity will take place on the next business day.
Date Activity
Mid - Late June 2009 Schools will begin receiving Dean's Office Workstation (DWS) kits and applicants will have access to their manual online.

Schools may begin generating and distributing tokens to applicants as soon as software is installed.

Osteopathic training programs will begin receiving their Program Director's Workstation (PDWS) User Guides.
July 1, 2009 MyERAS Web site opens to osteopathic applicants to begin working on their applications. Osteopathic applicants may begin selecting and applying to osteopathic training programs only.
July 15, 2009 NBOME and osteopathic schools can begin transmitting supporting documents.

Osteopathic training programs can begin contacting the ERAS PostOffice to download application files.
October 15, 2009 MSPEs are released at 12:01 a.m. to AOA-accredited programs.*
November 1, 2009 MSPEs are released at 12:01 a.m. to ACGME-accredited programs.*
February 2010 Osteopathic Match results are available.
May 31, 2010 ERAS PostOffice will close to prepare for the ERAS 2011 season.
July 1, 2010 Osteopathic training begins.

*According to your schedule, you will upload the MSPE to the ERAS PostOffice. The MSPE (along with other ERAS documents) are transmitted from the Dean's Office Workstation (DWS) to the ERAS PostOffice, and are placed in the programs' mailboxes. Most uploaded files become available immediately; the MSPEs, however, are held until October 15th for osteopathic residency programs and November 1st for allopathic residency programs.
