About ERAS
ERAS® the Electronic Residency Application Service is
a service of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC)
and was created in 1995 to enhance medical students' transition
to residency by reducing the amount of time spent on the application
process. Using the Internet, ERAS transmits a standardized application,
letters of recommendation (LoRs), the Medical Student Performance
Evaluation (MSPE), transcripts, and other supporting credentials
from applicants and designated dean's offices to program directors.
ERAS also provides national statistics on applicant behavior by
specialty.

ERAS Policies
ERAS is committed to supporting a high standard of integrity throughout
the application process for residency and fellowship positions.
Unethical behavior is strongly discouraged and will be thoroughly
investigated and addressed appropriately. ERAS has developed the
Integrity Promotion Program which includes an Education component
and Investigation Process to address these issues.
If you are aware of any activity by an applicant that is considered
irregular behavior, please contact ERAS Investigations at erasinvestigations@aamc.org.
