The Careers in Medicine staff is pleased to announce the release of the Medical Specialty Preference Inventory, Revised Edition (MSPI-R). This self-assessment tool measures medical interests and indicates the likelihood of entering each of 16 specialties. In addition to expanded specialty coverage, the MSPI-R also features a new approach to assessing and scoring interests and easier navigation on the CiM Web site.

The Role of the Advisor
Careers in Medicine and career development in general is most effective when students are provided with sound guidance and support. Advisors and school Liaisons are an integral part of the Careers in Medicine formula.

Careers in Medicine Training
We offer several Regional Training Workshops per year and a Professional Development Conference every other year to assist you in your CiM role. Join us for these interactive sessions to learn more and enhance your Careers in Medicine knowledge and skills.

The Careers in Medicine program office at the AAMC headquarters is here to assist you with the planning and operation of your school's career development program. We provide training, support, materials, and guidance to help you plan a program that best fits your students' needs.
