Computer Staffing
Model for Bioterrorism Response
Funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ),
Cornell University developed a computer simulation model to aid
public health officials and emergency planners in case of a bioterrorism
attack. The model predicts staffing requirements for antibiotic
or vaccine dispensing centers.
The Center for Infectious Disease
Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota
CIDRAP conducts original, interdisciplinary research and facilitates
public policy refinement along with the adoption of science-based
best practices among professionals and the public in order to reduce
illness and death from infectious diseases.
