About IQ
The IQ initiative began in July 2008 and has been developed in
three phases using the AAMC's "Learn, Serve, Lead" model.
Learn
Serve
-
Developed the Quality
Resources section to disseminate selected QI resources,
educational materials, data, and metrics for measuring and
evaluating QI initiatives and outcomes.
-
June 2009, hosted the "Integrating Quality: Linking Clinical
and Educational Excellence" professional
development conference.
-
November 2009, co-sponsoring a session at the AAMC's 2009
Annual Meeting with the Group on Educational Affairs CME
Section on integrating quality improvement and continuing
education.
Lead
-
Establishing a network/forum for individuals who are committed
to advancing QI and patient safety initiatives in member teaching
hospitals and medical schools.
-
Identifying and partnering with a subgroup of organizations
that are prepared to work together collaboratively in QI demonstration
projects.
-
