“A Day in the Life of a Medical Student”

Electronic Medical Education:

Photo titled Electronic Medical Education

Caption:

Medical students as the University of Louisville encounter a new educational focus in the area of bioterrorism deterrence. Computerized mannequins capable of stimulating clinical illness produced by biothreat agents allow students, backed by Personal Digital Assistants, to recommend treatment and observe the results of their interventions to patients.

This is one of the Runners Up in the 2002-2003 AAMC Reporter photography contest, which had the theme “A Day in the Life of a Medical Student.”
