University of Michigan Law School Admissions Policy Ruled Unconstitutional: U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman has ruled that the University of Michigan law school’s admission standards are unconstitutional and ordered the university to stop using race as a factor in judging applicants. The ruling conflicts with another district court decision in December, which held that the university’s undergraduate admissions policy is legal. Both suits were filed by the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Individual Rights. Information: Anne Maggiore, (800) 488-7007….VA Establishes Fellowship in Palliative Care: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Academic Affiliations, has announced the establishment of the VA Interprofessional Fellowship Program in Palliative Care. The purpose of the fellowship is to develop a comprehensive interprofessional approach to educating health professionals who can broaden treatment perspectives and opportunities.
