AAMC Reporter Sponsors Third Annual Photo Contest

The third annual competition will feature creative photography that reflects the theme "The Caring Side of Medicine: Reaching out to Communities." Medical students and residents are encouraged to submit their original photographs that illustrate service to the community.

A panel of visual arts and communications specialists will judge submissions. The grand prize winner will receive a $500 cash prize. The winner and 10 runners-up will be featured in upcoming issues of the AAMC Reporter.

Contest Rules:

• Photographs must be color slides/transparencies or high-quality prints. Submissions will not be returned.
• Each entry should be accompanied by the following information: - Name, institution, and student/resident's year in training - Date and location of photograph - Photographer's commentary/ explanation about the image in 50 words or fewer
• Entrants may submit more than one image for judging.
• The AAMC retains the rights to publish all entries in other media.
