Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Announces $650 Million Expansion: The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia announced plans to expand by 1.2 million square feet, nearly doubling the size of the hospital's main campus. Mike Johanns has signed a bill that will provide $10 million each to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Creighton University, and Boys Town National Research Hospital. The funding will increase to $12 million annually after two years and $14 million annually after four years.
