Pool Still Runs Deep Although
the number of applicants declined this year, there's no shortage of aspiring
physicians hoping to be accepted to the nation's medical schools. According
to AAMC figures, while this year's applicant pool of 37,137 represents
a 3.6 percent drop from last year, more than two applicants are still vying
for every available space.
