Paul Roth, M.D., dean of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, was presented with the AAMC's Commitment to Learning Award.

Steven J. Burakoff, M.D., has been appointed director of the Kaplan Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Professor, and director of the Skirball Institute of Biomolecular Medicine at the New York University School of Medicine.

Richard A. Insel, M.D., has been appointed director of the Center for Human Genetics and Molecular Pediatric Disease at the University of Rochester.

Joseph B. Warshaw, M.D., deputy dean for Clinical Affairs and chair of Pediatrics at Yale University School of Medicine, has been named dean of the University of Vermont College of Medicine.

Michael Weber, Ph.D., professor of Microbiology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, was named director of the Cancer Center at the school's health system.
