Academic Medicine Goes Online
The AAMC's official journal is now only a point-and-click away.
The full contents of Academic Medicine will be available for the first time online in July. Readers will have access to the 2000 publication year in its entirety shortly after the inaugural issue.
Academic Medicine is the oldest English-language journal devoted to issues related to the training of physicians. First published in 1926, it serves as an international forum for the exchange of ideas and information on policy, issues, and research concerning academic medicine.
The online version, which will be published with Stanford University Libraries' HighWire Press, will enable readers to search back issues and link to abstracts of cited articles. It also will eventually include sections the print version does not.
The electronic edition is free to all Web users throughout 2000. Beginning in 2001, access will be restricted to subscribers.
