Increasing Women's Leadership in Academic Medicine: Project Implementation Committee

In the spring of 1995 a Project Commitee was formed to examine why the number of women selected for leadership positions in academic medicine is keeping pace neither with the availability of talented women faculty nor with our need for achieving gender balance. The Committee's final report (PDF, 30 pages - 153KB) was approved by AAMC's Executive Council on 2/28/02. The report also appears in the October 2002 issue of Academic Medicine (Acad Med 2002; 77:1043-61).
