Program Support
Project
Medical Education is a model educational program that can be implemented at any
medical institution.
As members of Congress, their staff, state legislators,
and other participants experience a day in the life of medical students, residents
and practicing physicians, they gain a personal understanding of what it takes
to become a physician in the United States and why that training forms the foundation
of America's health care system.
To assist institutions in implementing the
model program, Project Medical Education provides: - A comprehensive
training manual that outlines the content and core messages for each of the 12
modules and reviews planning and implementation requirements
- Sample invitations,
handouts, evaluation forms and other resources
- PowerPoint visuals to
support key messages
- An AAMC staff person to assist in planning a PME
program.
