OSR Medical Education UpdateSeptember 2009The newly elected representatives are working hard to get innovative ideas and topics out to you. We've been working hard to get several projects off the ground and solicit TIME submissions. Our current projects updates and goals are: Integrated Approach to Curriculum Collaboration - We are working hard to collect all the TIME submissions so that they will be ready for the Annual Meeting. Reps from all over the country are starting to share submit their ideas. We hope that by the time we are in Boston every school will have shared an innovate program. Students as Teachers - Several schools are starting to implement their students as teachers and tutors to their peers and those following in their footsteps. In an effort to get the word out, we've collected a small series of articles on the subject for distribution among the reps. We've had to do a lot of re-working to make this project happen and hope to have the info out by the end of the month. Longitudinal Care - Now that we've started hearing what schools are up to we are looking for a theme. At the Spring Meetings, several schools mentioned the concept of Longitudinal Care. We hope to find out more and share the results with you all. Longitudinal Curricula - This is a hot topic that covers many different new curricula models being tested out at schools across the nation. We're working hard to put together a quick summary that will key everyone in to the most current discussion. The MedEd Team is excited to see everyone at the Annual Meeting in Boston and can't wait to see all of your TIME submissions. Eric Meyer |
