OSR Community & Diversity Update

Underrepresented Minority Career Fair Meet and Greet:
- The "Things I Wish I had Known" document is in the process of being
revised and updated.
- A hand out is being developed to assist OSR rep volunteers as they
educate and advise the career fair participants. This handout will
be paired with an informal question and answer session held by the
C&D committee members prior to the career fair. We have instituted
this session as a way to improve the already positive interactions
between the volunteers and the college students.
- We will begin soliciting volunteers for the meet and greet session
this month via emails to each region from the regional delegates.
- At this time we have decided to keep the format from last year's
session, which consisted of three twenty minute sessions with assigned
topics to ensure that students are exposed to a variety of topics
and rotation of OSR reps to different tables to maximize the exposure
of the participants to medical students.
OSR Map - The first draft of the OSR community map will be available
soon. We welcome feedback and suggestions.
