Comparative Data Resources: Hospitals

Financial and General Operating Data

Based on the annual AAMC COTH Survey of Hospitals' Financial and General Operating Data, AAMC staff maintain a database on information such as hospital operational, staffing, financial, GME, Medicare impact, and utilization data. A data tool has been developed to allow COTH Financial Survey participants to query the data elements collected on the annual COTH Financial Survey. Housestaff Stipends, Benefits, and Funding Data

Based on the Survey of Housestaff Stipends, Benefits and Funding, AAMC has generated a 30 table-report with data on residents and fellows training at AAMC-member institutions. Data in the tables are presented in aggregate format only.

Types of data shown in the report include housestaff stipends by post-graduate year of training, housestaff benefits, funding sources for graduate medical education (GME), and other topical areas of interest. General categories in the report include: housestaff stipends, housestaff benefits by region, other housestaff benefits, housestaff benefits and funding.
