About the GRMC Membership
Group on Regional Medical Campuses (GRMC)
AAMC Professional Development Group, established September
2002
Purpose
At its September 2002 meeting, the AAMC Executive Council approved
the establishment of a professional development group specifically
for the executive leadership of regional medical campuses. The Group
on Regional Medical Campuses (GRMC) recognizes the wide range of
responsibilities inherent in providing quality medical programs
on regional campuses, and the increasingly important role such programs
serve in the preparation of tomorrow's doctors.
The GRMC will foster professional growth and development, information
sharing, communication, and discussion of key issues among chief
administrative officers of regional clinical campuses. Areas of
interest might include educational programs, student support and
services, financial management, public relations, research, or community
relations. Networking within the group and with other groups will
be facilitated through programs, meetings and electronic communications,
as will interaction with other AAMC professional development groups.
