Postdoctorate Leaders Section CommitteesSteering Committee The Steering Committee manages the affairs of the Section, and approves
all committee appointments. This committee meets about two times a year. Nominating CommitteeThe Nominating Committee is responsible for proposing a slate of candidates
to replace next year's outgoing Steering Committee members as well as
appointing a replacement for any Steering Committee members who has resigned
during the year. Program Committee The Program Committee is responsible for developing and planning the
Postdoctorate Leaders Section Meeting. The Committee advises staff on
potential conference themes, session topics, speaker selection, as well
as on meeting logistics issues that influence the content of the program.
Resources CommitteeThe Resources Committee is charged with gathering, developing and distributing
relevant information and resources that promote member institutions' ability
to enhance postdoctoral fellow training. Including identify topical areas
of greatest interest for training resources and information, developing
resources within identified topics of interest and need, designing a repository
for resources and developing communication strategies that promote the
usage of the resources Data CommitteeThe Data Committee provides leadership and facilitate the development
of a national data collection template to track biomedical PhD program
students, postdoctoral appointees, and graduates for the purpose of advancing
quality training, monitoring career outcomes, and assessing national workforce
trends. |
