MD-PhD Section Leadership and CommitteesExecutive Committee
The Executive Committee manages the affairs of the Section, and approves all committee
appointments. This committee meets about two times a year. Nominating CommitteeThe Nominating
Committee is responsible for proposing a slate of candidates to replace next year's
outgoing Executive Committee members as well as appointing a replacement for any
Executive Committee members who has resigned during the year. Program Committee The Program Committee
is responsible for developing and planning the MD-PhD Section Meeting. The Committee
advises staff on potential conference themes, session topics, speaker selection,
as well as on meeting logistics issues that influence the content of the program.
Communications CommitteeThe Communications Committee is charged with identifying tools
and developing an inventory of resources to assist MD-PhD program directors and
adminstrators. In addition, the committee will recommend appropriate avenues to
increase the visibility of MD-PhD programs and propose to the Section Executive
Committee a communications plan that is based on the existing MD-PhD Section website,
as well as, other methods of information dissemination. Data Collection and Analysis CommitteeThe Data Collection and Analysis Committee charge includes developing an inventory of existing data resources, recommending new data gathering data efforts in support of the Section, and recommending to the Section Executive Committee appropriate methods and vehicles for disseminating related data and analyses in order to assist MD-PhD programs in their program management, recruitment, and advising functions. | ||||||||||||||||
