GREAT Group Leadership and Committees
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee manages the affairs of the Group, and approves
all committee appointments. This committee meets three times a year; twice
in Washington, D.C., and once at the Group Annual Meeting.

Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is responsible for proposing a slate of candidates
to replace next year's outgoing Steering Committee member as well as appointing
a replacement for any Steering Committee members who have resigned during
the year.

Program Committee
The Program Committee is responsible for developing and planning the
GREAT Group Annual Meeting. The committee advises staff on potential conference
themes, session topics, speaker selection, and meeting logistics issues
that influence the content of the program.

Group on Aspiring Biomedical Scientists Committee (GABS)
The Group on Aspiring Biomedical Scientists (GABS) Committee was developed
to provided educational and career resources to students interested in
biomedical science careers.

Data Committee
The Data Committee provides leadership and facilitates the development
of a national data collection template to track biomedical PhD program
students, postdoctoral appointees, and graduates for the purpose of advancing
quality training, monitoring career outcomes, and assessing national workforce
trends.
