Jenifer Jariel
Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer
Jenifer Jarriel is the Vice President of Information Technology and Chief
Information Officer for the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
She has been with the College since May 1995. Before this position, she
held leadership positions in Informtion Technology at Texas Children's
Hospital and Hermann Hospital. She is a board member of the LEARN organization
consisting of 33 university affiliated institutions throughout Texas;
a founding member of CHIME, College of Healthcare Information Management
Executives; and long standing member of HIMSS, Health Information and
Management Systems Society. She holds an undergraduate degree from University
of Houston Central Campus and an MBA from Houston Baptist University.
Ms. Jarriel has over 24 years of information technology management in
healthcare and academically affiliated institutions. She is a proven leader
in identifying, evaluating, and implementing enterprise-wide technology
solutions. She has specific accomplishments in start-up operations and
new program development requiring technical, human, and organizational
resource planning.
