Currents: Physician-to-Physician Clinical Resources
A hybrid between a professional magazine and a journal, Currents
was created by the University of Iowa Health Care professional staff
as a way to effectively project the caring professional image of
the institution. Targeted to practicing physicians, the publication
contains useful clinical information in addition to more traditional
articles.
Goals:
- Communicate to non-academic physician community the quality
of clinical care offered by the University of Iowa Health Care
staff
- Emphasize the clinical care and, biomedical and clinical research
available at the UI Hospitals,Clinics and Roy J. and Lucille
A. Carver College of Medicine
- Be a resource for medical knowledge updates and continuing
medical education
- Have up-to-date information regarding research or medical
innovations happening throughout the science community
Results:
- Subscribers have praised the content
- Increased inquiries into subscription information
- Developed a reader survey to gather more feedback
