"2000 On a Mission Employee Campaign for the Medical
College of Ohio"
The Medical College of Ohio has a history of low percentage
employee participation in the Medical College of Ohio Foundation
fundraising efforts. The Employee Campaign was instituted
to educate over 3,000 employees and volunteers about "giving
back" to the MCO community and increase participation among
this constituency.
Goals
- Educate potential employee donors about the foundation
- Cultivate employee donors
- Recruit ambassadors and develop marketing materials for
this diverse group
- Raise $1 million
- Increase the percentage of employee participation to 20
percent
Results
- In 2001 reached the $1 million goal mark
- Employee participation reached 20.9 percent
- Established a culture of philanthropy within the institution
