The University of Minnesota Medical School launched a $435
million campaign in the year 2000 as part of the University's
$1.3 billion comprehensive capital campaign, Campaign Minnesota:
A Defining Moment. The Minnesota Medical Foundation needed
to create a high-quality identity system to support the fundraising
effort.
Goals
- Recruit and retain top faculty
- Create campaign materials to address the needs of multiple
departments
- Portray the tremendous scope of the Medical School, in
particular the collaborative efforts underway that hold
the promise of real medical advances
Results
- Donors and alumni have given positive feedback on the
informative case studies
- The Web site has be visited frequently and easily facilitates
on-line gifts
- Faculty were enlisted as part of the campaign, educating
them on the mission of the school and heightening their
sense of pride
- Case studies have been used to inform legislators of
the critical importance of the medical school's mission.
