Basic Science Education Special Interest Group (SIG)

With over 200 participants, the Basic Science Education Special Interest Group (SIG) provides an arena for discussing topics relevant to teaching of the basic sciences. Issues addressed by the SIG include:

  • Impacts of curricular reform and renewal on basic science education,
  • Integration of the basic and clinical sciences across all four years of the medical school curriculum,
  • And implications of the merging of basic science departments on faculty teaching and development.

If you would like information regarding the SIG please contact Cynthia Woodard, cawoodard@aamc.org, Staff Associate, Group on Educational Affairs, Association of American Medical Colleges.
