own progress through the system
- to examine the influence of personal styles on individual effectiveness,
team development, group performance, and managing professionals
- to identify personal and professional skills that are key to academic
advancement and provide opportunities for their development
- to assist participants in identifying and coping with special challenges
facing minority faculty
- to provide an overview of the grant-making process of the National
Institutes of Health, as well as other federal agencies and foundations,
