CAS Membership
The Council of Academic Societies (CAS) represents the faculty
leadership of U.S. medical schools and teaching hospitals through
representation from 94 member academic and scientific societies.
Eligible societies are those active in the United States in the
professional fields of medicine and biomedical sciences that have
special interests in advancing medical education.
Eligible societies
also must hold 501(c)(3) tax status. Each member society is eligible
to appoint two representatives to the Council. These representatives
elect the governing CAS Administrative Board.
