Deborah C. Davis, D.S.W., is the Manager of the HR Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Employment Equity, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Penn., and the Campus Multicultural Coordinator for the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and the College of Medicine. She directs, coaches, and teaches the leadership, faculty, staff, and students on workforce and workplace diversity and cultural competency. Dr. Davis also directs and monitors the Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action activities and programs to ensure equitable employment practices in recruitment, hiring, retention and promotion. Prior to her current role, Dr. Davis served as the Administrative Director for the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center's Center for Leadership Development. She continues to serve as faculty for the Center's Advanced Leadership Development curricula.

Clyde H. Evans, Ph.D., is president of CE Consulting, providing a range of career, professional, and organizational consultation to individuals and institutions in academic and health related fields. Dr. Evans is also Executive Director of the Institute for Health Protection, overseeing the design and execution of community-based health educational programs for communities and health professionals that accelerate the dissemination of evidence-based clinical interventions for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment into everyday practice.

Kevin Grigsby, D.S.W., is Vice Dean for Faculty and Administrative Affairs and Professor in the Department of Neural and Behavioral Sciences at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Penn. Dr. Grigsby has an extensive history of program planning, implementation, and evaluation in the area of innovative home and community based health and mental health services. His practice experience has been primarily in under served rural and inner city areas. Areas of practice expertise include children at imminent risk of out-of-home placement, perinatal intervention with substance abusing women, children and adolescents in shelter care, home-based services to parents and children with HIV-related illnesses, and the use of advanced telecommunications technology in health services delivery.

Omar A. Khan's, M.D., M.P.H., main work is in the areas of family medicine and global health. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (undergraduate and graduate studies), University of Vermont (medical school and residency), and the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health (graduate studies in public health). He splits his time between the mid-Atlantic region and New England. In Vermont, he is on the faculty of the Dept. of Family Medicine of the University of Vermont, where he directs the Global Health Curriculum for the residency, and for senior (elective-level) medical students. He also is a member of the Frymoyer Global Health Group, a small team of health sciences faculty working to increase educational, research and clinical opportunities in global health.

Diane Magrane, M.D., is Director of Faculty Development and Leadership Programs at the Association of American Medical Colleges and is responsible for a variety of faculty development programs, including Women in Medicine, Faculty Affairs, and the Executive Development Seminars for Chairs, Associate Deans and Deans. Prior to this she was Associate Dean for Medical Education and Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She received her M.D. degree from the University of Iowa in 1978 and completed residency training in Ob/Gyn at St. Louis University Hospitals in St. Louis in 1982. She has been actively involved in improving instruction, evaluation, and faculty development in medical education at UVM and in national educational organizations. Her 12 years as a clerkship director ended in July 1994 when she was appointed to the position of Associate Dean at UVM. In that position she led the students and faculty of the College Of Medicine through a systematic redesign of the four-year curriculum and its supporting infrastructure.

Yvette Pigeon, Ed.D., earned her doctorate at the University of Vermont in 1999, focusing on adult student learning groups and professional development. She designed and directed the University of Vermont College of Medicine's innovative Medical Student Leadership Groups, which have become an essential part of the College of Medicine curriculum. She has taught extensively at the graduate level at Saint Michael's College and Vermont College of Union Institute and University, and has consulted with for-profit and non-profit businesses to improve group processes, instructional methodologies and strategies, and to create learning organizations.

Linda M. Roth, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Wayne State University. She is directs faculty development within that department and also for the School of Medicine as a whole. Her doctoral degree in Reading Education was received from Oakland University, Rochester, Mich. Dr. Roth's interests include individual and organizational career development and learning and teaching in the ambulatory clinic context.

Valerie N. Williams, Ph.D., is Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Development and Interdisciplinary Programs, Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, and Director, Interdisciplinary Programs at the College of Medicine, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC). She joined the OUHSC College of Medicine in 1989 after four years as Assistant to the President and Director of Interdisciplinary Programs at the University of Maryland at Baltimore professional schools campus. Prior to joining the academic community, she served as principal policy analyst for the Indian Health Service and the National Institutes of Health in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She was the first Executive Director for the U.S. Public Health Service Task Force on Women's Health Issues convened by then Assistant Secretary for Health Dr. Edward N. Brandt, Jr. Among the awards she received during her federal career she was most honored by recognition received from the Department of Health and Human Services for her work on the Secretary's Task Force on Black and Minority Health.
