May 21, 2008 | Registration for this meeting is open
to all Medical Student Affairs Officers. All registrations will be verified by
AAMC staff. If you are not a Medical School Student Affairs Officer from an AAMC
member school, you will be contacted by AAMC if you have entered the member registration
fee on your registration form verses the non-member registration fee. On
behalf of the GSA Committee on Student Affairs, I am pleased to share this preliminary
agenda for the AAMC Professional Development Conference for Medical School Student
Affairs Officers. The conference theme is "Transition to Residency: Strategies
for Success." This conference has been designed to follow the process
that a medical student takes on their journey to residency. Throughout each of
the phases, there will be plenaries and break-out sessions that have been designed
to discuss the tough issues including: - Current Challenges in the
Match-post-Match Continuum
- The Application Process
- Match Fall-Back
Plans
- The Role of Relationships in the Medical Student Specialty Choice
-
Match Madness: Dispelling Urban Legends
As you will see when you
view the program, this is a conference you do not want to miss. I hope
to see you at the meeting. Samuel K. Parrish Jr., M.D., Chair, GSA
Committee on Student Affairs and Associate Dean for Student Affairs Drexel
