Accreditation Review: Continuous Quality Improvement

An LCME accreditation survey visit provides an opportunity to a medical education program to receive feedback from external peer reviewers about the outcomes of the program’s own internal continuous quality improvement efforts. The survey report typically reveals concurrence with some of the program’s internal findings of strengths and challenges, and divergence with other internal findings. In this session, three medical school deans will discuss the means by which their school incorporated survey feedback to enhance their institution’s medical education program.
