My CMEMy CME As part of its 2008 Annual Meeting, the AAMC, in conjunction with the Harvard Medical School Department of Continuing Education, is offering My CME, a self-directed continuing medical education experience. This unique CME program will allow meeting participants to customize a meaningful education experience based on the sessions that they attend at the meeting. To participate in the My CME program, register for the AAMC Annual Meeting and pay the additional $50 CME credit fee. You must be registered for the meeting in order to participate in the My CME program. You will need to create a set of objectives for the meeting. It is recommended that you:
200 sessions at the annual meeting will be eligible for CME credit; review the list of sessions. At the meeting, you will need to track which sessions you attend. At the conclusion of the meeting, you will asked to identify how the sessions you attended helped you achieve your objectives, and list your future action steps. You will be able to submit your CME objectives, session list, evaluation and action steps entirely online following the meeting. You will access the electronic form through your meeting registration record, and can complete the form either onsite at one of the internet kiosks, or when you return home after the meeting. You will need to submit your electronic CME form no later than December 5, 2008. It will be reviewed by AAMC and certificates for those who have successfully completed the program will be issued no later than January 9, 2009. If you have questions about the My CME program, please contact Cameron Curtis at ccurtis@aamc.org.
