Continuing Education and Performance Improvement

The Continuing Education and Performance Improvement (CE/PI) site is intended for those who plan and participate in continuing education and improvement programs. It attempts to guide Continuing Medical Education (CME) as it moves from a primarily conference-based model to one which employs best educational methods and Quality Improvement (QI) and Performance Improvement (PI) principles to close the clinical care gap. The site serves to:

  • Communicate news—Disseminating news about developments in the field by disseminating a bi-weekly newsletter.
  • Share resources—Connecting to tools and sites helpful in CME planning, QI, performance improvement, clinical outcomes, faculty development, and related research.
  • Develop networks with our colleagues in the CME Section and in the Group on Educational Affairs (GEA).
