and evaluating quality in health care delivery settings.
Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality:
Balanced
Scorecards—Provides information on developing and utilizing scorecards
to measure and evaluate performance.
whynotthebest.org—This Commonwealth Fund site provides data on top performing hospitals and
comparison reports based on quality metrics.
Dartmouth Atlas—Using Medicare data, provides quality data and analysis by region, market
and institution.
Hospital Compare—Created by CMS, HHS and the Hospital Quality Alliance, this tool provides
data and comparison reports on processes of care, outcomes and patient satisfaction
by hospital.
National Quality Forum—A not-for-profit organization that was created to develop a national approach
for collecting and reporting national quality data.
The
Joint Commission—As of January 2009, Quality Check Web site includes National
Quality Improvement Goal data.
