Medical schools awarded for exceptional service
The AAMC gave national recognition to the four medical school members of the Alliance of South Texas Academic Health Centers and to the Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Medicine in Shreveport for the assistance they provided to the academic medicine community following the devastation from Hurricane Katrina.

AAMC Activity

AMCAS
To assist 2006 medical school applicants, AMCAS has worked with affected medical schools to ensure that applications are processed and verified with as little disruption as possible.

ERAS
ERAS has begun processing residency application materials for Tulane School of Medicine. Revised guidelines and procedures are explained on a new ERAS Web site for applicants and programs affected by the hurricane.
