AAMC Awards AspiringDocs.org Video Contest Winners with $1,000 for Medical School Costs
Ten college students and aspiring doctors revealed their dreams of a career in medicine in the first-ever AspiringDocs.org Video Contest and were rewarded with financial assistance to help cover the costs of preparing for and applying to medical school. (Feb. 24, 2009)
AAMC Launches Campaign to Increase Diversity in Medicine
The AAMC announced a marketing campaign to encourage more minority students to choose medicine as a career. AspiringDocs.org is both a Web site and an outreach effort to provide undergraduate minority students with the support, information, and guidance they need to apply to and enroll in medical school.
