CurrMIT XML Information

The XML Data Load tool allows you to import/export data from your existing curriculum information system into the CurrMIT database.

What is XML?

XML, or extensible markup language, is a flexible format that is quickly becoming a standard method for exchanging data across the Web.

Why use XML?

XML was selected as the method for the CurrMIT data loads based on feedback from medical schools. XML simplifies the task of converting data across many different software and hardware systems. Its cross-platform compatibility makes it easier for institutions to share curriculum information, and reduces the amount of duplicate data entry for CurrMit users.

How do I implement the XML Data Load tool at my institution?

Implementing the XML Data Load tool will usually require the assistance of your institution's programming or IT department. Please contact helpcurrmit@aamc.org to learn more about the business rules and definitions that were used to develop the XML Data Load tool.
