New Acting VA CRADO Announced

June 18, 2004 - Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Acting Under Secretary for Health, Jonathan Perlin, M.D., Ph.D., June 7 announced the appointment of Stephan Fihn, M.D., M.P.H., as Acting Chief Research and Development Officer, effective July 5. Dr. Fihn currently serves as professor of medicine and health services, and head of the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He also director of the Northwest Health Services Research and Development Field Program and co-director of the Ambulatory Care and HSR&D Fellowship Program at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Dr. Fihn received his M.D. from St. Louis University and his M.P.H. in Health Services from the University of Washington.
