HHS Assistant Secretary for
Public Health Emergency Preparedness Appointed
April 16, 2004 - Department of Health and Human Services
(HHS) Secretary Tommy Thompson April 8 announced the appointment
of Stewart Simonson as Assistant Secretary for Public Health
Preparedness. Mr. Simonson previously served as Special Counsel
to the Secretary within the Office of the Assistant Secretary
for Public Health Emergency Preparedness.
