Ruling Issued in Resident Lawsuit

February 13, 2004 - The United States District Court for the District of Columbia Feb. 11 issued a ruling (order, opinion) dismissing the plaintiff's claims against several defendants in the resident anti-trust litigation (Jung et al. v. AAMC et al.). A Feb. 12 press release states "The AAMC is pleased that the Court dismissed the plaintiff's claims against several defendants, thereby reducing the costs and disruptions that this litigation has imposed on institutions and organizations involved in the important exercise of training physicians and delivering health care. We are, of course, disappointed that the Court has permitted the case to continue against the AAMC and various other defendants for the time being."
