Senate Confirms New VHA Chief

March 29, 2002 - The Senate March 22 confirmed the nomination of Robert Roswell, M.D., to be Under Secretary for Health at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), where he will be responsible for overseeing the Veterans Health Administration, the nation's largest integrated health care system with a budget of over $21 billion. Dr. Roswell has served since 1995 as director of the VA Sunshine Healthcare Network (VISN 8) which covers Florida and Puerto Rico.
