Leshner to Leave NIDA

Alan I. Leshner, Ph.D., director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) at the National Institutes of Health, announced Oct. 24 his intention to become Chief Executive Officer of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) at the beginning of December. Dr. Leshner has served as the director of NIDA since 1994.
