Senate Confirms HHS Officials

The Senate May 25 confirmed the nominations of former staff director of the Bipartisan Commission on the Future of Medicare Bobby Jindal as assistant secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services and Tom Scully, former president of the Federation of American Hospitals, as administrator of the Health Care Financing Administration. Former Virginia Secretary of Health and Human Resources Claude Allen was confirmed as deputy secretary of Health and Human Services on May 26.
